Bernie Morley

Dance & Fitness Manager

Bernie joined The Dance Zone in July 2013. She is a Level 3 qualified member of the Register of Exercise Professionals. Bernie brings with her over 30 years of cheer and dance experience and has worked and performed all over Europe and the USA. Bernie was an original member of the infamous Bradford Bullettes at the start of the Super League in 1996 and continued as a professional cheerleader for the club until moving to the South of France in 2001 as a choreographer/dancer/vocalist for Haven Europe. On her move back to the UK Bernie set up one of West Yorkshire’s first All Star Cheer & Dance Academies and has had regional, national and international competitive titles under her belt. In 2008 she represented the UK at the USASF World Cheerleading Championships in Florida. She fulfilled a dream of her own by taking her own special needs squad back to the States to compete in 2011.

Bernie is now a registered USASF judge for many UK and International Cheer and Dance Associations including Legacy Cheer & Dance, ICC, Jamfest, Cheer & Chant UK and Spirit Academy in France. Bernie is also a qualified Alcohol Use Disorders Screening Advisor and runs the popular Get Active programme for ladies over 14+ who want to get back into fitness but need a little bit of help.

Since joining the Dance Zone she has restructured the coaching staff and classes with new innovative ways for all ages and abilities to become active through dance, cheerleading and gymnastics.

Bernie is a member of the Kirklees Active Schools steering group and delivers on school sessions, choreographs and heads up the Giants Community Dance Squad.
