Job Title: Casual Coach

Salary: £7.50 – £10.00 per hour

The overall purpose of the job is to assist and support the Sports coaches in the delivery and implementation of a programme for Football and Multi Sports development within Kirklees Schools and surrounding areas. To run schools unaided and build good links and relationships with the community. To deliver practical Football and/or Multi Sports sessions for community programmes IE. PPA cover, after school clubs, Saturday morning JUST PLAY, Soccer/Multi Sports Camps throughout the holidays. (Increased hours available throughout holiday periods)

Main Responsibilities:

  • To facilitate and support the development of football and multi sports within schools and community programmes
  • To raise the profile of football and multi-sports within Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield and to encourage maximum participation for both boys and girls.
  • To provide regular verbal reports and reviews to the Sports Coaches at Huddersfield Community Trust.
  • To ensure and maintain the upkeep of all relevant equipment pertaining to the delivery of Football and multi-sports to boys and girls and the Safety of such, ie: To ensure that coach ratios are appropriate for all activities
  • To lead by example and set appropriate standards for others to work to.
  • To ensure the standard of quality is maintained at all times in order to sustain and enhance the image of Huddersfield Community Trust

Essential Attributes:

  • Minimum Level 1 Certificate in specific Sport or Multi Sport
  • Working towards Level 2 or above
  • A recognised FA First Aid Qualification
  • Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues including holding a current Safeguarding Children certificate
  • Willingness to work flexible hours in line with our programme delivery.
  • An accepted FA Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Disclosure (previously known as an FA CRB Disclosure)
  • Good communication skills
  • Enthusiasm, energy and creativity
  • Be able to work within clearly defined rules and under the supervision of Huddersfield Community Trust
  • Full UK Driving Licence / Own transport is essential

Desirable Attributes:

  • Hobbies which are relevant to the position
  • FA Youth Award Modules 1/2/3
  • FA Licensed (LCC)
  • The successful candidate should have previous experience of delivering Sport in a School environment.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Experience of working within a brand environment and understanding the responsibilities that are associated with working within one.

Job Title: Marketing/Media Officer

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £18-20k dependant on experience

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and committed individual who has excellent communication and organisational skills with a passion for working within sport.

The Marketing/Media Officer role will suit an individual who has a keen eye for detail, a natural communicator and someone who has previous experience in marketing, PR and social media.

The post holder will be expected to report regularly to the CEO and work closely with both the marketing/media department at Huddersfield Giants Rugby League Football Club and the Business Development Manager at Huddersfield Community Trust.

The purpose of this role will be to effectively implement and build on the Huddersfield Community Trust’s brand guidelines across all aspects of the business and increase the awareness of the charity and its work locally and, where possible, nationally. The post holder will be expected to develop a variety of marketing strategies and implement the delivery of successful communications campaign to suit several strands of the organisation.

The candidate should be passionate about the importance of marketing and expect to take a significant role in business and charitable growth at Huddersfield Community Trust. Attractive qualities will include a high level of organisational skills, someone who can work under pressure with the ability to analyse and resolve any problems quickly, the ability to manage conflicting deadlines, a passion for delivering consistently faultless work, experience of managing communication campaigns on time and budget and excellent written and verbal communicational skills.

Job Title: Apprentice Receptionist

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • To serve the general public and all visitors to the Zone, ensuring the best customer care at all times.
  • To be responsible for the correct use and safe keeping of equipment allocated to the Reception and kitchen area,(  including all cash machines ( till), computers, music equipment and catering equipment).
  • To undertake as required appropriate administrative duties related to the post including the booking of  Sports pitches, Parties, Dance classes and other such activities that are provided for, from time to time by the Zone, using the SportsSoft software system.
  • To answer the telephone and ensure all enquiries are dealt with effectively and promptly.
  • To take food and drink orders.
  • To be responsible for the safety, health and welfare of all staff and others in accordance with the Safety at Work Act 1974 and related legislation and the Trust’s Safety Policy, including any  Codes of Practice produced and accepted by Huddersfield Community Trust, (The Zone).
  • To ensure a high standard of service to both external and internal users of The Zone
  • To do a health and safety check before commencement of daily duties recording any unsafe equipment and alerting staff and Line Manager.
  • To prepare all documentation as required relating to bookings, cash reconciliation and be responsible for lost property left at The Zone.
  • To ensure the reception area information is up to date and presented in a clean and tidy manner.
  • To liaise with Party Hosts regarding their party bookings to ensure a high quality service.
  • To attend training courses as directed by the Line Manager
  • To undertake any other related duties that may be allocated by the Line Manager from time to time which may include the servery for example.

Job Title: Assistant Catering Operative

Hours: Part-time

Main Responsibilities:

  • To prepare and serve a comprehensive menu for the café at the Zone, as directed by the Catering Manager.
  • To be responsible for the correct use and safe keeping of equipment allocated to the Kitchen, including all cooking equipment and related appliances.
  • To undertake as required appropriate administrative duties related to the café including admin work related to ordering and the receipt of food purchases, staff rotas and cleaning rotas in accordance with normal Zone procedures.
  • To be responsible for the safety, health and welfare of all staff and others in accordance with the Safety at Work Act 1974 and related legislation and the Trust’s Safety Policy, including any Codes of Practice produced and accepted by Huddersfield Community Trust, (The Zone).
  • To ensure a high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping within the kitchen area.
  • To do a health and safety check before commencement of daily duties recording any unsafe equipment and alerting staff and line Manager.
  • To ensure that a high standard of customer care is maintained at all times.
  • To attend training courses as directed by the Line Manager.
  • To undertake any other related duties that may be allocated by the Line Manager from time to time.
